At the end of each product line there hung a single sleeve, almost like a pouch. Every so often, a worker would appear to slide a bright slip of paper inside it. Some were an Aegean blue, others a bumblebee yellow. The different cards added nice speckles of color to the warehouse. Their appearance signaled an important notice: stock was low, and more material would need to be ordered. Verrell, our receiving clerk, would do just that. She would stroll through the plant, pausing when needed to collect the slips, before taking them back to her desk. Once the needed replacements were in, she’d ensure they found their proper placement.
Now with us for six years, Verrell has been cross-trained in almost everything under the sun, including Kestrel, Kestrel DROP's, and SpeedCoach. When it comes to working at NK, she says she likes that it’s small, and "it's a family"'
In her own time, Verrell enjoys fishing, a beloved hobby she does as much as she can, and plans on taking it down to South Carolina's Outer Banks sometime within the year. She is also fond of baking. And as a proud mother of three, Verrell revels in spending time with her family.
