Gentle in her movements, Christina slipped the ends of the thermistor, a pair of blue wires tipped with a white bead, through the two little holes at the top of the board. After adding a quick coat of flux (flowing agent) over the holes, she grabbed her solder wand and with a careful sweep, secured it to the board. Christina has been employed at Nielsen-Kellerman on and off for the past nine years, stationed chiefly in Kestrel DROP's, and cross-trained in CoxBox, Kestrel, and shipping. She enjoys the 'behind-the-scenes' work and praises NK for its fine treatment of employees.
"My kids are my life," Christina tells. "They are the most important thing to me. They're the best thing that ever happened to me." She spends much of her free time with her two children, age 9 and 8, keeping them active in sports like wrestling and cheerleading.
Whenever possible, she likes to try her hand at new recipes, and finds enjoyment in the music of rock legends like Tom Petty, and the thrill of horror flicks.
Christina also loves to travel, hoping to one day venture out of the country. Of some of the places she'll go, she lists England, France, and Italy.
