The scissor lift screeched as the legs gradually expanded, raising the burly man with it. He rose higher with every second until he was face to face with the heavy boxes he'd come for. Brooks is our facilities manager. With us for one year, his job includes maintenance and occasionally operating heavy machinery such as lifts. He loves NK for its kind people, and as a rowing enthusiast, Brooks fits right at home at the company. You can even find him coaching Lower Merion's women’s novice team.
Along with Nancy, his wife of thirty-four years, Brooks keeps good company with the incredibly friendly Lokie, a three-year-old black lab, and two turtles Brooks fondly calls "the girls." The family has a lot to be proud of, raising two wonderful children who enjoy success in education; his daughter teaches the first grade, and his son heads the athletics department at a Portland private school. Best of all, Brooks is elated to welcome his very first grandchild, born in May of this year.
As for the next great adventure, Brooks plans to contribute to the rhino conservation movement in Africa, in honor of his high school nickname and favorite animal. Really, you should see his knick-knack collection!
