Field Calibration

Kestrel Meters can be quickly recalibrated in the field, giving users confidence to rely on their Kestrel. To field calibrate the wind or air flow readings, simply replace the impeller with a new one. For relative humidity readings, use the RH Field Calibration Kit. For pressure sensor calibration, check out the Knowledge Center, or contact our Customer Service Department for instructions.

The only sensor that cannot be field calibrated is the temperature sensor. The Kestrel’s accurate temperature readings are due to NK’s patented external thermistor, and over the 15+ years that we’ve been building Kestrels, we’ve never identified one that needed recalibration.
